Hi guys,
First time posting here, Long time EVE player back to the game after a 2 year break.
Monday
On monday afternoon, after reading C+P too much at work, i decided to try my luck at can flipping in Amarr. After about 15mins of badgering some Russian miners, it began to dawn on me that they had played 'knifey spooney' before and were just mocking me (Is it me or have carebears gotten awfully rude?). So i reluctantly called it a day, and went to spend time with the kiddies...
Tuesday.
So yesterday i decided that i would take a trip north into Lonetrek to see if any of the miners/mission runners were playing via drool-fed keyboard. after flipping a few cans a miner took a dislike for me cleaning up the universe and decided that i should be taught a lesson, so he warps off to the station and comes back in a Drake.
Idiot 1
After dropping loot off in a station i carried on merry way, where i find a poor hyperion being forced to mine veldspar by its evil overlord covetors, i thought to myself that he needed to be freed of his slavery. but unfortunately this group of slavers would not bite, disheartened i moved along cleaning the universe as i go...
Shortly after, i find another with a distaste for those who like to keep the universe clean, he started bumbling in local about how i was a thief and that i shouldnt mess with peoples game time, i promptly informed him that i am providing a service and that the gameplay of the few must be sacrificed for the many, so that we can enjoy a cleaner universe. Any way he didnt like this and so....

Later on that afternoon, it was getting close to logging off time for me, to be honest i thought that i had likely found all the kills i was gonna get for today. But then i stumbled on a Gem of a miner, Can flipped and his hulk warped off, i expected him to come back in a bc like the rest..... oh how wrong i was, in warps a typhoon. I'm thinking 'can i really take a 'phoon in a 'Rax' well apparently this guy didnt have much in the way of smarts either...

I love my Thorax, before my break i used to be a very t2 ship kinda guy. but now i'm lovin' the oldskool cruisers. BTW Kane, Big fan of your work. i've just this morning finished reading the pirate story thread beggining to end.

Wednesday
Undocking in my Thorax thinking that ccp is gonna swing the Nerf bat at the thorax if i carry on like this... I warped to a planet and started scanning belts.
A mining op was going on with cans (Yay), So i warp into the belt and approach a bantam mining next to a can, which is promptly flipped (i dont like to keep my customers waiting). After around 30 seconds or so he warps off so i head over to a group of guys mining, and as i'm approaching in warps a Macharial (not sure how it's spelt. Anyway the Angels faction BS) of the same corp as this little mining op, I'm approaching the can and the mach pilot locks me up. Now he's a 2012 char  , so i'm getting a semi about getting a mach kill in a Thorax when they pull in the can...... Damnit two got away.
Apparently the bantam pilot was just fetching a combat ship and returns in a Thorax, Which i promptly turn into space trash. I'll give that guy kudos though, he was freindly and i even shared my 'Rax setup with him for being such a good sport about it.
Kill the first
After clearing up the loot from my fresh kill i went back into incognito mode scanning from planets flipping some cans, (Trying to avoid getting into a group with corpies, i think can flipping is a very solo profession. In the end i give in and ask them to come in cloakers maybe they can catch a hauler coming back after the kill or something *Shrugs*
Still trying to remain solo i switch systems and pick on a Retriever mining, flip his can and wait........ He warps off, And returns in a Raven 'Jackpot Ding Ding Ding' i thought to myself as he locks me up. Now i know from past experience ravens can be pretty tough to break when used right......
This one apparently wasn't.
Kill the second
My corpmates at this point couldnt believe that i'd just killed a Raven in a Thorax.
I am now thinking about retiring for the day, one last flip. I think to myself this guy has t2 drones he ain't gonna engage. Wrong! He lets loose his drones and i teach him that mining barges ARE NOT combat ships (in general)
Kill the third
I warp to the station pondering silently my belief that genius comes in many forms.... And this can jetting, roid humper... Ain't one of them.
Also ive noticed that people don't tend to give into ransoms. i offer them as i'd rather get 70% of the hull price of a Raven than the kill on the board. Anyone else found this?
I may not be posting for a couple of days as its my Daughters birthday today. So next one will probably go up on Saturday morning.

I'm probably gonna mix it up a bit at the weekend, i would go with a missile chucker but you know how it is with Caldari ships and pvp.....
1 Mwd/AB, 2 Scram, 3 Web, 4 Cap injector - Ah only 1 slot left for a shield tank then :/

In the end, i did manage to find time to play some EVE so here goes...
Thursday
Family members had left, leaving me with a feeling that somones internet spaceship needed to die. I undocked and began my prowl.....
After flipping a few cans, and getting quite frustrated at people not taking the bait (Inlaws put me in a bad frame of mind) i flip a can and wait, a Thorax warps off and thirty seconds later a Catalyst warps in and locks me but doesnt aggro. At this point i'm thinking about just blowing him out the sky for the hell of it... When in warps the thorax again, which locks me up and they both fire, leaving them open to my inlaw fuelled wrath.

Feeling much more level headed i scooped the loot and headed along my merry way, bumping into Kane along the way. I almost pissed myself there and then!
Drawing my hunting session to a close i had stuff to do on an industry alt (I know for shame right?) i flipped a few more cans when i see a Cormourant mining, flip the can and wait.... the Corm warps just as a Merlin warps in, he starts a mwd orbit, meaning my web is practically ******* useless at this point, so i manual fly my ship to reduce my transversal and boom one less miner enslaved combat ship in the world.

I retired for the night to a life of menial Industry based tasks. I am but a lowly PVP'er enslaved buy this massive economy that is Industry. Some people call me a Hero. I am not, i do as any other would do given the chance...

Sam I hope you realise that if you choose the right ship and fit, caldari ships are very good at pvp.
I am aware of this, It was a general comment about comment not the few exceptions to the rule.

Friday
Friday was a very unproductive day for PVP. I actually lost two Thorax's. The first was to a zealot who left the fight in structure (IMO it doesnt matter weather you win by an inch or a mile) and the other was to a fleet issue tempest.
The kill i did get was from a hauler that i was can baiting. which i had an amusing convo with.....

My Saturday afternoon had been a frustrating one, getting only a measly hauler kill, i was winding down my run to log onto an alt an join a small gang Vaga roam with some friends.
Now this next part is rather embarrassing.... i tend to think my 'Rax setup is pretty good, and that i am pretty good in it. For instance i have blaster spec 5 cruiser 5 all gunnery skills at 5 all drones skills to 5. so i'm doing as much damage as my skills can muster. A navy Augora warps in and flips my can and warps off before i can lock ( At this point i smelt a rat, But i was hungry and hadn't sated my bloodthirst yet) so i pursue the Augora thinking that i was going to F*** his S*** up.
I locked, then lit up my guns/web/scram to lay into him. Then the dance began and my Heavy Electron Blaster II's ripped through his sheilds and i began chomping armour. Its at this point i realised the fight was gonna go south, because basically he had tons of hp. By the end of my hull i was at best getting to 75% of his armour.
All i could figure by the end of this ordeal was that he must have had a 1600mm and slaves in his head, and that damn ship has a 10% armour boost per level!. Well played my friend it was a good fight.

Recently i've been tweaking my merlin fit trying to get the best out of it. I think ive come up with a setup that works and i've named my ship 'Broken' as it shouldnt be able to fit neutrons and that many damage mods. So i decided to take it for a spin before logging off for the day.
I thought that i might get more fights out of people in the Merlin than the Thorax. But apparently i was wrong, the locals are even more unwilling to engage the Merlin....
Anyway, i had been baiting a miner for a while bumping/can flipped etc when he warped off, i thought he'd had enough and was calling it quits, so i stayed for a few just to make sure.
The EvE gods smirked at me and gave me a Dread spawn, which promptly began to perma jam me, Little bastards. And whats worse is that as i wapred to another belt to break the jam, The miner came back in a Cormy!
Cursing those Gurista rats i spun my ship round and headed back to the belt. only to find the miner had polished off my Dread spawn. (How un-sporting of him) So i gave him a few bumps for good measure, half expecting him to web me and rain fiery death down upon me.. But no, he approached my can that i'd flipped from him, full to the brim with horrible miner droppings. i lock the can and poof, no more can for him.
I'm guessing he didnt like that because;

Lately i've been finding that i have a general hatred for the general public. Not meaning that i'm not a nice guy but my tolerance for idiots and stupid questions dwindles on a daily basis. with this in mind i've noticed that when someone erks me in RL, someone in EVE is going to pay for it.....
My Afternoon started in a rather familiar fashion... With a hauler kill

After that, i had trouble getting people to bite. But they were willing to leave their tasty profit filled t2 drones behind. i've baited those guys a few times, i just cant get them to bite.
So i went on my merry way cleaning up the universe one miner dropping filled can at a time, till someone in took offense enough to do somthing about it. This next kill is just a tragedy, that Assault Frigate needed to be put to rest.

This last kill was an interesting one, i flipped his can so he warps off posting in local about how i could keep the 300k woth of ore in the can. So i stuck around for a few orbiting the can. Just as i warp off, he warps in, in a Caracal. Cursing i spin my ship round and warp back. To find that he warps to the belt i've just come from. knowing this i just wait for him to turn up.

After the fight, he convo's me and we end up talking, he asks if my corp is recruiting as he wants to learn pvp. As i logged off he'd already spent an hour on our TS just chatting.
Just goes to show that you dont always have to be nice to people to make friends. |

It is nice not receiving any Tears and I prefer not to receive any since Tears are overrated. Why share this since people will know... People already know, being banned from the Merc Channel does not stop me. There are always new faces asking for help. So in short... almost 9bil pilfered.

Since my last post, i have done some soul searching about what i wanted in EVE. And the guys in The Marmite Collective were not discusted by my personality, or my lust for killing things..... not sure if thats a good thing or not. I guess only time will tell.
So, eager to get in on some kills, and to get affiliated with my new commrades, i joined up for some war target hunting. Initially not alot went on but we soon sniffed out a loot pinata running missions during wartime(Really, you think moving 12 jumps to run missions will save you ass?).
After some probing we finally got a hit and.

after that we took a short break and i just sat outside the undock the WT was in waiting for our group to reform
Really who dies at an undock?
The evening carried on well. plenty of kills, which carried on in the next day too as expected. We found ourselves another mission pinata to chase down.

So all in all a productive few days.
Much fun has been had over the past few days. And i'm pretty sure i havnt offended anyone yet \o/

Looks like your having fun in Marmite. Good bunch of guys, you will enjoy it there since there are some really good PVP guys spread out between the corps in the alliance. To many people for my liking. Less is more in my mind, but that's just me.

Just over a week ago I formed a Corp with a close Eve friend, with the simple idea that nothing was off the table. We could be as evil as we wanted to be, and no-one would be there to tell us otherwise.
With this in mind we started doing some recon on potential targets, and declared war on a suitable GÇÿwarm upGÇÖ target. 24 hours later I move my neutral alt into position, and spot them mining in a belt. Right about now, I am doing the victory dance on my deskGǪ
After a moment to compose myself, I move alt into position for a warp in of GÇÿSurprise Mother F**ker!GÇÖ and selected a ship that would let them know just how out of their depth they were.

After singing myself the GÇÿI am weaselGÇÖ theme tune, I get a convo from the orca pilot asking me to give the PLEX back. Yes thatGÇÖs right he thought that the PLEX dropped and that I had it, so of course I obliged in his delusion and tried to sell it back to him. To which he claimed that he has no Isk and that he was a father in real life who only earns $700, and that the PLEX was his only hope of being able to continue playing Eve.
I did some routing around but couldnGÇÖt find my GÇÿworlds smallest violinGÇÖ so I had to suffice with him believing that I am an ******* who sold his PLEX on the market. Needless to say these guys didnGÇÖt want to play anymore that night.
After the Orca incident, their Corp starts bleeding members like no tomorrow and to be honest I had kinda given up on the idea that we would see anymore of them. We see our target member log on, and immediately dispatch on his last known whereabouts and run locators on alts.
As we were on route to him I suddenly hear on Comms GÇ£Rattlesnake! Rattlesnake! Go Mad go MadGÇ¥ It was at this point that I swear my Cynabal turned into a freighter, it was taking forever to warp and my impatience wasnGÇÖt helping. Catching him on the other side of the gate I gave him a friendly bump for good measure.
